The network is active in selected regions and on the European level with the goal to use existing potential and to bring them together. Our aim is to unite the target group, political decision makers, experts and professionals, but also minorities and majorities. This is reached by organising regional and European meetings and conferences with a wide impact, with public meetings, promotion activities, awareness-raising and networking.

Next to working meetings, conferences, the promotion tours, the development of promotion and information materials on European multilingualism and linguistic diversity, up to now documentations, reports and guidelines were being published.

Transferable learning scenarios on language transmission and on multilingualism in a European context were developed, especially making use of the minority languages and in this regard also guidelines for teachers and pedagogical professionals were made.

Furthermore information was elaborated and given about multilingualism, language learning and linguistic diversity by publishing information and instruction materials. Another aspect of this was the formulation of a contribution to regional and minority languages in the context of European language policy. To support the development of tangible strategies for the minority languages, know-how on language planning was made available whereas the transfer of know-how took place in the form of advise and measures on the ground.

The project was funded with the support of the European Commission and
the Autonomous Region Trentino-South Tyrol.
